2. Communication is more important than perfection.

The important thing initially is to be able to get your point across to the person you’re speaking to. Whether you have your verb tenses down pat is irrelevant.

3. A good Spanish book, CD/tape series, or software program is essential.

CDs or tapes are wonderful for learning correct pronunciation, as well as being car friendly for those long commutes. 5. When in doubt, ask simple questions.

One of the best things to do when trying to learn Spanish quick is to memorize questions such as “How do you say…?” and “What is this?” If you find yourself lost or alone and aren’t sure how to ask for help, you can always ask these questions and use motioning or hand gestures to get your point across.

Somebody will undoubtedly understand your question and help point you in the right direction or give you the right words.
